Call for Expressions of Interest for Counsellors, Psychologists and Therapists
Mosaic-Tiaki Tangata is currently looking to add counselling and therapy services to our organisation. We are looking for counsellors, therapists and/or psychologists, who are interested in joining us to set up a new counselling practice in the New Year. Once set up, you would provide your counselling services to our clients from Mosaic-Tiaki Tangata’s Office located in Newtown, or in the Wellington region.
Skills and Experience:
You will be an experienced professional who holds an annual practicing certificate from a relevant professional governing body (e.g. NZAC, NZPB)
You will have experience working with clients who are male survivors of sexual abuse
You will be personable with the ability to work as part of a team
You will show a strong commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and understanding of Māori cultural awareness
Ideally, you will have knowledge of and experience with the ACC sensitive claims processes
You will also be required to undergo a Police vetting check

Crisis Team Support Members
We are looking for volunteers, to take calls 24/7 from people who want to know about our services. You don’t need to have completed training as a trained counsellor, social worker, therapist or psychologist, but anyone working in those professions would be very welcome.
The people who approach us for support, and their whānau, are very diverse. We are a bi-cultural organisation that is treaty based. We would love to hear from any Maori interested in working with us. As well, we are an ethnically and sexually diverse organisation looking for people from all cultures, sexual orientation and gender identification. Find out more.
